Product Stamping / Etching / Painting

The illustrations below show the minimum sizes for stamping Dana’s Primary Brands. If a smaller-size stamp is desired, it must be approved, contact Corporate Communications here. In all circumstances, customers may request that additional images be stamped onto products. This is possible, but requires review by Corporate Communications and Dana Legal. Level A (below) is preferred. However (for Spicer and Victor Reinz only) if the product in question has a surface area smaller than either the bounding rectangle or circle shown on level A, use level B. If the product’s surface area is smaller than the smallest example shown below for a particular brand, do not stamp the product.

NOTE: Illustrations on this page reflect the smallest markings (5mm) that may be stamped on a Dana part. Art may be downloaded here: Dana Product Stamping Logos.

NOTE: The hairlines indicated on this page (surrounding the various brand logotypes) do not reproduce. They represent the size of the object being branded.

* The size to the right of each example relates to the approximate height of the object (Dana part) on which the brand would be reproduced.

** The size below each example relates to the approximate width (or diameter) of the object (Dana part) on which the brand would be reproduced.

Product Labeling (Printed Labels)

When printing product labels, the minimum printable size for the Dana Brand may vary depending on printing capabilities. Level A (below) is preferred (or level B when using a secondary brand). If (and only if) space is limited, use level C. The Spicer brand may carry additional detail such as “Spicer Life®” or “Spicer Life® XSTM.” If a smaller size label is desired, it must be approved by contacting Corporate Communications here

NOTE: Minimum size art may be downloaded here: Dana Product Label Logos.

NOTE: The hairlines indicated on this page (surrounding the various brand logotypes) do not reproduce. They represent the size of the label being branded.

* The size to the right of each example relates to the approximate height of the label on which the brand would be reproduced.

** The size below each example relates to the approximate width of the label on which the brand would be reproduced. NOTE: The width of Spicer labels on levels B and C can be shorter or longer depending on the length of the product name. The height, however, may not be shorter than 9/32″.

Off-Highway Name Plates

When identifying Off-Highway products, use a plate similar to the image below. Size and product-specific information will vary by location. The Dana Spicer Drivetrain Systems logo should be used and minimum size is shown below.

The example below is laser engraved on a Dana Blue (Pantone Process Blue or RAL 5012) anodized aluminum plate and the Spicer logo and product-specific information may be black or white.

Brevini Name Plates

When space allows, use the Brevini Product Brand Logos in their entirety, but not smaller than their minimum size (see above). You may print in either black or Dana Blue (Pantone Process Blue).

SAC Name Plates
Use the format below for Service and Assembly Centers (SACs).  These nameplates may also be printed in either black or Dana Blue (Pantone Process Blue).  Click to download an Adobe Illustrator template.

NOTE: The above information, i.e., SAC NAME, SAC WEBSITE, SAC TEL. #, and SAC E-MAIL should be replaced with information relating to a particular SAC.

NOTE: The letter “A” (x2) in the Dana Diamond in the above Dana Brevini aftermarket logo may fill in when printed due to the small size of the logo.

Brevini Product Painting

Brevini products should be painted RAL 5012 for both the primer and the coating unless specified by the end customer.
